I had a great opportunity to shoot a music video for Apollo Brown and his new group “Ugly Heroes”, who are under the Mello Music Group Label. My good friend and rapper Red Pill had teamed up with Verbal Kent and Apollo to make an album which has seen success in the states and overseas. The album touches on struggle as an artist, societies struggle to keep up with the “norm”, having no money and hating your job. Struggle raps. Started from the bottom, now we still here. A very relatable record. Now they will take the story of Detroit; and their story around the world.
Apollo Brown has a huge presence in the UK and London already so the next steps came natural with the success of the album. They are touring London this year, in 2014 ! I am very proud of the Ugly Heroes in forming this group and sticking with their gritty, bold message. It ain’t all flowers and sunshine out here people. But it’s great to see your friends achieve a level of success that you’ve known all along they could get to! People are now already calling the Ugly Heroes Album a classic, I’m proud to be apart.
